After the Pulwama attack, many Bollywood stars joined hands to donate for families of the 40 martyrs. Akshay Kumar declared to donate Rs 5 crore to the jawans through Bharat Ke Veer.
Sundari Devi, wife of Jeet Ram Gurjar, who was among the 40 CRPF troopers killed in the attack, recently received Rs 15 lakh donated by the actor.
Vikram Singh, younger brother of Gurjar, thanked the actor for the financial aid.
Vikram revealed that Gurjar was the only earning member of the family.
"We are very poor. Jeet was the only earning member of the family. This help has come at a time when the family needed it the most.
He added, We don’t have a house."
Gurjar is survived by his wife and two minor daughters. The jawan's parents, Radhey Shyam and Gopa Devi, are in their 80s and were also dependent on him.
