Marriages in the UK may soon have the tag line – ‘I’m lovin it’ because the biggest fast-food chain in the world, McDonald’s, will soon allow couples to get married at their outlets.
Under a new budget plan in the UK, couples across the country will be granted permission to get married in any food place of their choice. It can be anything from a restaurant to a juice shop.
The purpose behind the budget plan is to cut the heavy expenditure of weddings with a view to change the traditional style of wedding.
Chancellor Phillip Hammond will soon announce a review of the ‘outdated’ marriage ceremony laws that will require venues to abide by strict laws
As per the new plans, the place of marriage will qualify as an official wedding value if the building dedicates a specific room for the wedding ceremony.
The owner of the establishment must hold a licence and also ensure that no food or alcohol is consumed an hour before or during the event.
However, the average cost of hiring a venue is £4,500 and couples can expect the average total cost of weddings to be around - £20,000 and £30,000.
