Kheer is indeed the perfect dish to celebrate a festival or just cook it up as an after-meal dessert at home. It is made with various lipsmacking variations like jaggery kheer, date kheer, badam kheer etc.

3 cups rice
6 cups milk
¹/⁴ cup sugar
1.Soak almonds overnight and then slice these nuts.If you want,you can dry roast them.
2.Take a kadai and add milk.Allow the milk to boil,add the rice to it followed by Cardamom and sugar.
3.Mix all the ingredients well.Add chopped almonds and kaju badam to it.
4.Cover the lid and let it cook on a medium heat for 10/15 minutes.
5.Now cook it on high flame. Cook until a thick and creamy consistency is obtained.
6.Serve hot and fresh.Garnish with almonds and kaju badam.
