Woman who was sucked out of plane window at 32,000ft confirmed dead


A woman who was partially sucked out of a window of a US passenger plane after an engine exploded in mid-air has died.

Seven passengers were injured when the engine of the Southwest Airlines Flight 1380 exploded and had to make an emergency landing in Philadelphia, US.

Jennifer Riordan, a 43-year-old mother-of-two from Albuquerque, was partially sucked through the window before being rescued back in by passengers.

Passengers rushed to help Mrs Riordan, giving her first-aid, and upon landing, she was taken to hospital but later died from her injuries.
