Thai Airways prevents overweight people from flying in business class

Get slim or get out.

Thai Airways has come up with an idea to install seatbelt airbags in the business class section of their Boeing 787 Dreamliner planes.

It might sound like a nice idea for those afraid of flying, but it's not going to be good news for those with a few spare tyres around their waists — because they simply won't fit!

If you have a waist larger than 56" inches (142cm) then you will not be able to sit in the seats that have seatbelt airbags.

Parents who used to carry kids on their laps while sat in business class will now have to join the rest of us in steerage if they want to travel with their children.
